I am looking for my family.

• The Vance family of Shreveport Louisiana starts with my father Melvin Vance. He is the son of Fred and Florence Vance. Melvin was born August 21, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana in Caddo Parish. Melvin’s’ brothers are Jimmy, Fred and León (decrease). His sisters are Lillie Mae Vance-Brown (decrease) and Bertha Vance.

• The Hogan family of Mansfield Louisiana starts with my mother Clara Varnell Hogan-Vance. She is the daughter of Pink Hogan (decease), who is the son of Chief Pink (Saddlewhite) Hogan and Norma Lee Hill-Hogan (decease), who is the daughter of Loula Mae Hill. Clara was born April 2, 1938 in Mansfield Louisiana in Desoto Parish.  Clara’s brothers are Pink Hogan Junior of California (decease) and Alester Hogan of Houston Texas. Her sisters are Verna Dean Hogan of California and Elouise Hogan-Bell-Henry of Dallas Texas.
