"EDMUNDS, Howell: Leg. - To my eldest son, Thomas EDMUNDS,
the plantation where I now live and the land I lately had a patent,
on the Wild Catt and an entry on Nottoway River, adj.
Benjamin CLEMENS and Thomas BUTTS, also 200 acres at Great Creek
after Nicholas EDMUNDS, has made his choice. If no issue, to
surviving brother or his heirs, to my son, *Howell EDMUNDS, a tract
of land on Blunt's Swamp in Isle of Wight County, and the stock
belonging thereto and debts due from Abraham SAUL and George WOOD
and 300 acres at the Great Creek, if no issue to surviving brother's heirs.
To son, Nicholas EDMUNDS, 500 acres of land upon Great Creek in
Brunswick Co. (VA) and choice of stock and 3 Negroes.

To daughter, Sarah JONES, one Pistole to buy a ring and one Negro.

To daughter, Elizabeth EDMUNDS, 3 Negroes and her choice (after son, Thomas)
of certain furniture, cattle, etc. To daughter, Ann EDMUNDS, 2 Negroes,
furniture, cattle, etc. The remainder of my estate, after debts and
legacies are paid to son, Thomas EDMUNDS, and makes him Executor 24 Dec 1728.
Probate: 20 Aug 1739. Wit: Andrew LESTER, Wm. BRIGGS, DOELONG (?) (DELONY?).

Mary EDMUNDS, Executrix. Sons: William, David, John Edmongray (not 18)
Daughters: Mary, Sarah, Susannah, Elizabeth, FAITH, Fillis, and Christian.
Wife: Mary. Witnesses: Richard PARKER and Nathaniel MOSS."

"Mary EDMUNDS of Albemarle Parish, Surry, widow. Will. Date: 30 July 1747. Rec: 20 Nov 1753. John EDMUNDS, Executor. Daughters: Elizabeth HINES, Christian HINES, Phillis NORRINGTON and Faith BALLARD. Son: John. Witnesses: Howell JONES and Thomas REN (WREN)." Note: Elijah POOL, s/o John POOL, Jr, s/o John POOL, Sr (RS), married Nancy JARMAN whose mother was a WREN.
